Auch 35 Jahre nach dem Erfolg der Mustangs bei der Tour de France 1964 schreiben Mustangs noch Geschichte. Das Ehepaar John Hugenholtz gewann die Tour Auto mit ihrem Shelby SFM 6S108 in der GT-Klasse, an 3. Stelle überquerten David und Deb Franklin die Ziellinie in ihrer Klasse. Erwin Derichs wurde 5.Die diesjährige Tour Auto ging über 20 Etappen bzw. 2500km durch Frankreich und benachbarte Länder. Zahlreiche Rennstrecken wurden als spezielle Etappen gefahren. Wer mehr Informationen hat, möchte sie bitte mit uns teilen. Das Bild unten zeigt die Hugenholtz nach der Siegerehrung.

Mustangs repeated history again. After their famous victory back in 1964 at the Tour de France, Shelby Mustangs finished 1st,3rd and 5th in the GT class at the '1999 Tour Auto'. John Hugenholtz and his wife finished first in the GT class with their Shelby SFM6S108, David and Deb Franklin crossed the finishing line as number 3, Erwin Derichs, the famous german vintage race finished on place 5.  The tour went in 20 etappes for 2500km through several countries, but mainly in France. Several race tracks were visited and actually driven. We will try to get more information on that event. Anyone passing this site might help us in collecting information..
